BFFs, what will we do? No more Audrina! No more SPEIDI? No more Kristin! MTV says the new season of the original kinda-reality show, which starts April 27 will be the last one … EVER!
Tragedy has struck the canyons and beaches of Orange County: MTV has just announced, according to EW, that The Hills is ending after six years of incredibly good-looking young people living out the daily drama of their oh-so-troubled-but-exquisitely-moisturized lives on camera. Yes, this means Kristin Cavallari, Audrina Patridge, Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Brody Jenner, and Lo Bosworth are going away … at least on The Hills.
“I think we’ve told the story of struggle and of finding yourself in L.A.,” says show creator Adam DiVello. “A lot of these kids have found themselves and have certainly embarked on different careers and different paths.”
DiVello also teases an explosive new scene from the new season involving Heidi Montag and her plastic surgery. “We tell the whole story. We pick right up where Heidi goes and sees her parents. And our cameras are there that minute the mother opens the door and sees her daughter for the first time.”
The show has, of course, spawned Whitney Port’s show The City and created an entire industrial complex (fashion lines, books, etc.) around the stars.
Are you crushed that The Hills is over!
