But, Rosie better be careful because her daughter may not watch her if she goes on Simon’s new show — Simon’s gone too soft — says her daughter, Chelsea!
If you could be a judge on either American Idol, or X Factor, which show would you choose? Well, Rosie O’Donnell said she ‘d would go with “X Factor because I do enjoy Simon Cowell.” But, her selection may cause a problem at home .Her daughter, Chelsea, 12, CAN NOT stand Simon anymore and “will no longer watch American Idol because he is too nice — ‘I’m not watching this crap … when did he turn into something else?,” she complained to her mom, Rosie told us.
Despite mother and daughter disagreeing over which TV shows to watch, Rosie did let her daughter style her for HBO’s premiere of A Mother’s Courage on Mar. 22 in NYC (where we caught up with her on the red carpet). “She’s very fashionable. She knows a lot more than me. This is her lip gloss I’m wearing, along with the nanny’s lipstick,” Rosie said. “She will tell me when I wear something crappy,” she added.
Rosie will be returning soon to television in 2011 hosting a one hour talk-show for ABC that focuses on special issues (rumors are rampant that Rosie will be filling Oprah’s 4:00 spot) . Rosie said, “I’m excited that we get one hour single topics. You can delve into issues that are really important, like autism. I’m thrilled that we will have an hour and a slower pace and the thing that was most frustrating about my (radio) show was that I only had 7 minutes to talk to someone.”
Lastly, when asked if she had any advice to give to Sandra Bullock and Kate Winslet (narrator for A Mother’s Courage) who are both dealing with failing marriages, Rosie said, “Relationships are hard for everybody and with the public eye on them it doesn’t help.”
