Is Alicia’s new song — which says really reminds us to “take a chance” — a message about her new fiance?
Alicia Keys, 29, stepped out for the first time last night, Mar. 15, with her fiance, rapper-producer, Kasseem Dean aka Swizz Beatz, 31, to host Niche Media’s Annual Gotham Magazine Gala presented by Bing. We caught up with her on the red carpet, and though she wouldn’t comment on her engagement, she did share with HollywoodLife.com that she’s totally obsessed with her new song, “How It Feels To Fly.”
We asked her why she loves this song and she said, “Because it really just reminds you to take a chance. I love how that feels. You can’t live with hesitance.”
Could Alicia have been referring to her relationship with Swizz Beatz on her new album, The Element of Freedom, released on Dec. 11, 2009? Since he gave her a seven-carat diamond on her birthday, Jan. 25, it seems she’s been quite serious about making it work with him but also about keeping it quiet.
Swizz is currently divorcing his wife R&B singer Mashonda after three years according to NY Daily News.
