LiLo may have to go back to acting for a living – the spotlight-lover has ended her career as a “couturier!”
Lindsay confirmed that she has lost the title as Artistic Advisor for The House of Emanuel Ungaro. When asked why she didn’t show up at the Ungaro show in Paris on Mar. 8, LiLo told WWD, “Because I don’t work for them anymore!”
But that’s not all! There’s more to the story of why Lohan’s short-lived French fashion career has come to an end. “There’s legal things going on; I can’t really discuss it,” she told WWD.
“She’s not involved in this collection,” confirmed the design house’s owner , Asim Abdullah.
We guess Asim just didn’t see what Ungaro past president Mounir Moufarrige, saw in Lindsay. Mounir had planned to use Lindsay’s popularity to focus attention on the brand and attract new younger clients. However, since he parted ways with the top design house in Dec. 2009, things haven’t worked out for Lohan. In fact, her presence did attract attention to Ungaro — just not the right kind.
Back in Oct. 2009, WWD fashion critics slammed Lohan’s involvement with Ungaro’s Spring 2010 Collection calling it “an embarrassment” and “a train wreck involving fashion, a controversial celebrity and massive publicity.”
And now, it looks like this is turning into a whole new battle for poor LiLo.
Hopefully her ripped leggings line will give her enough cash to pay for the attorney fees that are going to be involved with her fight with Ungaro.
