EXCLUSIVE! Blake Lewis Says Haeley Vaughn Won't Climb To The Top 8 On 'American Idol' After Dismal Miley Cyrus Sing-a-Long

Listen to someone who knows – our guest blogger, 28-year-old Blake Lewis – is a man who knows! He did come in as American Idol’s Season 6 runner-up, after all!

Highlight #1: Siobhan Magnus covered Aretha Franklin’s ‘Think’ and she smashed it. I was really surprised that she would even think about doing this song, but I was blown away by her tonality and power. So were the judges. Nice!

Highlight #2: Most of the ladies actually held it down last night vocally – especially Lilly Scott, Didi Benami and Paige Miles. As far as song choices go though, I thought they were all mostly misses.

Highlight #3: Simon [Cowell]. I’m watching this guy like a hawk ‘cuz this is his last year. The first show, you could tell that he didn’t even care he was there, but now he’s back and he is the Simon we all hate to love.

Highlight #4: Crystal Bowersox returned to the show and her performance was a big hit, so much so that she got tons of air time and the judges praised her at the end of the show. I don’t know what happened to her in the hospital, but I’m glad that she slayed it last night.

Lowlight: Last week I was rooting for Haeley Vaughn – and then she sang Miley Cyrus. She is super young and doesn’t know her voice well enough for this competition. She’ll be in the top 12 for sure, because she has the younger vote, but as far as a competitor, she still has some work to do.

Who is going home this week??? I have my predications. What’s your take on it?

Love and happiness – Blake
