When you start to notice that you look exactly like your man’s ex-girlfriend, is that cause for worry? Does he like you for you, or does he just have a type?

Are we having déjà vu, or is Dane Cook’s new girlfriend, Julianne Hough, a dead ringer for his ex, Jessica Simpson?

The comedian was caught kissing up on the Dancing With the Stars alum following his surprise show at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles Feb. 27, reports People magazine. But if you blink, you can completely mistake Julianne for her predecessor, Jessica.

Both girls are blond bombshells with Southern roots: Jess, 29, hails from Texas while Julianne, 21, has a home in Nashville. The ladies are both attempted country singers and burgeoning actresses. We still can’t forget Jess’ turn in Employee of the Month (for obvious reasons), while her doppelganger is starring in both the upcoming Footloose remake with Chace Crawford and Burlesque with Christina Aguilera.

Obviously, Dane, 37, has a type (and good taste). But what does this mean for the future of his relationship with Julianne?

“Dane seems to be turned on by Southern blonds that can rock, and there’s nothing wrong with that!” exclaims relationship expert and sexedsolutions.com founder Amy Levine. “He’s only fooling himself if he sees them as Barbie doll-like babes, rather than unique women that each have something special to offer.”

She adds that having a type is perfectly normal. “When it comes to attraction, most of us do have certain types – either physical attributes or other factors. It’s more of a problem when a person has an established unhealthy pattern, like dating the ‘bad’ boy or girl.”

Hear that, Dane? Julianne is way more than just a pretty face, blond hair, and a good voice. Treat her right!

Do you have a type and keep on dating the same person over and over again? Tell us your story here!
