Jess says she can’t forgive John … BUT she should thank him! She says her phone is ringing off the hook!
Super star Jessica Simpson finally tells Oprah how she really feels about her blabbing ex-boyfriend, John Mayer.
“I’m well .. I’m a little bit angry,” she said of his big “tell-all” interview with Playboy, when he said Jessica was “like sexual napalm.” Jess said, “I hope he gets his life together. He did apologize. I don’t accept it. I tried to read the article,” she admits. “It made me so sad, and it was really discourage because that’s not the John that I knew.”
Jess says she can’t forgive but … she is ready to forget. “It’s just one of those things that … I don’t resent him. I’m just going to let that go. That part of my life is over.” But, maybe John actually did her a favor? She also tells Oprah: “My phone is ringing off the hook!”
The actress and singer, who is launching her new VH1 reality show The Price of Beauty on Mar. 15, also opens up to the queen of daytime about the constant focus on her body and her weight. “I’m not going to ever be a size zero, and I don’t want to weigh 90 pounds,” Jess says. But she was really surprised when “People were talking about my weight for an entire year. It’s like people just couldn’t stop talking about my weight fluctuating.”
Jessica adds, “It’s a really hard thing for me to talk about because I celebrate women of all sizes. I think that we’re all beautiful.” Aww, thanks, Jess! —Corynne Steindler
