When Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are in NYC together, they don’t stay holed up in his room at the Waldorf!  They go out to chic restaurants, like young, fabulous people should!

The New York Daily News reports the duo went to Locanda Verde in TriBeCa on Sunday night … and the PDA was on full display!

“Robert and Kristen sat really close together and kept touching and rubbing each other’s arms as if no one else was around,” an onlooker said. “They definitely appeared to be an item.”

Um, that’s probably because they ARE an item. Hello, they landed in New York together, Kristen attended his big premiere, and Rob even admitted they are a couple! Come on!

Locanda Verde, in the Greenwich Hotel, is a very cozy spot.  On their Web site, the eatery invites patrons to “meet friends for a house cocktail or a specialty Italian beer and a snack or two at our generous, convivial bar; or settle into the banquets and kick back with a leisurely dinner, perhaps with a bottle of wine from our reasonably priced, wide-ranging Italian list.”
