Do you stay friends with your ex-significant others or sever all ties, like Camilla and Joe did?

When Camilla Belle and Joe Jonas broke up in July 2009 after nearly a year of dating, Camilla’s rep promised that the former couple planned on “remaining friends. But from the sound of it, the break-up wasn’t as ‘friendly’ as you might believe.

The 23-year-old actress got incredibly uncomfortable when E! Online’s Cristina Gibson asked about her former fling Feb. 28. “Not really talking about that today,” she dodged. When asked if she and the 20-year-old Jo-Bro are still friends, Camilla was quick to reply. “No, not really. The past is in the past.”

Camilla and Joe met in the fall of 2008 during a shoot for the Jonas’ “Lovebug” music video, right as he was breaking it off with another former girlfriend, Taylor Swift. The rest, they say, is history.
