Kim Yu-Na skated her way into the history books last night!
What an incredible performance! South Korean figure skater Kim Yu-Na, 19, took home the gold medal in last night’s 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics Figure Skating Long Program final and set a new world record, scoring 150.05 points for a total of 228.56. We have to agree with the judges’ comments, Kim looked completely at peace on the ice as she skated a flawless routine to Gershwin’s “Concerto in F!”
Not only did Kim come out on top last night, but this was actually her second world record of the week! She also blew away the Figure Skating Short Program record on Feb. 23 with an incredible 78.5 points! Congrats, Kim, we can’t wait to see what else you have in store for us in your figure skating career. You’ve done so much, and you’re still only 19!
