In a last-ditch effort to explain herself to the public (and most likely to make some cash) Lindsay Lohan has opened up to the UK newspaper, The Sun, to talk about her addiction, her family, and her relationship with deejay Samantha Ronson.
Lindsay tells the paper, “If I wasn’t with Samantha, I would probably be with a boy next. She’s the only woman I’ve been attracted to. We love each other. We might reconcile the relationship, maybe. I don’t know.”
Sam and Lindsay met in 2007 and quickly became close friends. By the following year, the friendship turned into a romantic and sexual relationship, which ended tumultuously in 2009.
“All the fighting stuff was just because all her friends had got involved and made me an outcast, which wasn’t fair to Samantha,” Lindsay says. Sam’s sister is super designer Charlotte Ronson, her brother the British music producer Mark Ronson. “I think it was a jealousy thing in terms of her becoming more famous than the rest of them.”
But Lindsay hasn’t given up hope on their relationship. “Who’s to say we won’t be together again?” —Corynne Steindler
