What sets this season of American Idol apart from the rest? Find out at HollywoodLife.com!

As one of the official vocal coaches of American Idol, Dorian Holley‘s seen some incredible talent come and go throughout the years, but is adamant that this season of contestants are the best yet.

“The thing that stands out for me this year is that I think consistently there are more people who are really good,” Dorian — who has performed with Michael Jackson and Rob Stewart — told HollywoodLife.com exclusively at FremantleMedia and Samsung’s American Idol Top 24 event in West Hollywood Feb. 18.

“More people are on the same level. Usually you have six, maybe five, who are all really good. Then you you’ve got a couple who are ehhhh,” Dorian said, adding, “This year, everyone is really, really good.”

Dorian hasn’t worked with all of the contestants individually yet, so he couldn’t predict any early favorites, but he does promise you’ll see a stellar show come Feb. 23 when the live performances begin. “The girls I worked with this morning already knew what they wanted to sing. Good cuts. They knew how they wanted to present them. I was excited,” he raved. “I was like, ‘These girls are impressing me. I hope the boys are half this impressive.'”

Of course they’re going to say that. Don’t they say it every year?
