It’s about time – literally. Watch the heart-wrenching preview above of Grey’s Anatomy‘s newest episode, ‘The Time Warp’, Feb. 18 to catch a first-time ever glimpse into Meredith Grey’s (Ellen Pompeo) horrific upbringing with her strict and distant doctor mother, Dr. Grey (Sarah Paulson).
“Mommy, don’t go,” Meredith, as an adorable toddler, begs her workaholic mother, who’s too busy flirting with her lover Chief Richard Webber (played in this episode by J. August Richards) to pay her daughter much attention.
“Meredith, I have to go,” Dr. Grey replies, without emotion.
This is the saddest thing ever! It totally makes us understand why Meredith has turned out to be the Type-A workaholic she is today…she’s just like her mom. Apparently the apple doesn’t fall very far from the tree.
