Michael Kors Does A Fabulous Michelle Obama-Ready Collection!

Female Oscar nominees and Michelle Obama get ready — Michael Kors has some classy, sexy new clothes ready for you!

The top designer, who’s clothes have already been favored by the First Lady, and who stars on Project Runway, presented a drop-dead gorgeous fall collection today, Feb. 17, full of grey flannel, camel, cream and gunmetal slit and wrapped skirts, tailored coats and cowl-necked sweaters. Was the First Lady, who wore one of his black sleeveless dresses for her official portrait, an inspiration? Sure seemed like it.

“Mrs. Obama has shown that you can be serious and hardworking, committed to what you’re doing AND still use fashion to look great. She’s shown that you can be serious AND look stylish,” Michael told me after his show.

Fellow Project Runway judge and Marie Claire Fashion Director Nina Garcia, told me she’d love to see Best Actress Oscar nominee Carey Mulligan, star of the Best Picture-nominated-film, An Education, in Michael’s knockout bronze paillette jersey gown on Oscar night: “She’d look gorgeous in it!”

Couldn’t agree more. Click to see a video of the Michael Kors show!
