This is one problem you can’t blame on the a-l-c-o-h-o-l, Jamie. Your little girl thinks your tunes are lame!
Ah, youth. Remember when, back in the day, everything your parents did blew chunks? If you were like me, the complete opposite of whatever my parental units said and did was kind of awesome. Apparently Jamie Foxx’s 16-year-old daughter, Corinne, is no different – and is channeling my high-school self!
“[Corinne] is in to anything that’s not mainstream,” the 42-year-old Valentine’s Day star told HollywoodLife.com exclusively at the Fidelity Futurestage National Music Program launch in LA Feb. 9. “She’s always, well, not hated my music, but has just been kind of like ‘Dad, what is that?’”
He added, “I remember her saying something [about one of her songs]. I said ‘That’s such a goofy song’ and she said, ‘Dad, Blame It (On the Alcohol) ain’t goofy? So…”
At least Jamie and his baby girl have a love of music in common, despite being unable to agree that Jamie’s jams rock. “She loves like, off-the-beaten-path stuff, like The Fray and that stuff.”
Um, Jamie? That’s what we like to call ‘Mainstream Rock.’ Get with it, old guy!
