Notorious ladies man John Mayer the Player tweeted cryptically about desperately needing the love of a woman — but now it just remains to be seen which blond Hollywood starlet he was talking about!

John Mayer is so freaking mysterious (and sexy), which is probably why every chick in Hollywood seems to fall for his charm. The rocker posted the lyrics to Lady Antebellum’s ‘Need You Now’ on his Twitter page late Monday night — but was he thinking about his latest rumored girlfriend, country cutie Taylor Swift, or his last lover, Jennifer Aniston?

“What’s that song that goes ‘It’s a quarter after one, I just huffed a can of ceiling paint and I need you now?’ I like that one,” John, 32, tweeted early Feb. 9 to a special lady.

It’s anybody’s guess as to whom John was wishing for while he was lying there “huffing ceiling paint.” It’s a pretty bold gesture if he meant it for the innocent Taylor, 20, who’s currently on her ‘Fearless’ tour in Melbourne, Australia. We’ve reported the two have been quietly dating since mid-January.

On the other hand, if he was speaking about Jen, 40, we wouldn’t be shocked. Although their tumultuous year of dating ended with a bad break in March 2009, we hear the exes still hook up on occasion.
