Carrie Underwood is testing out her acting chops — she’s landed a big time film gig!

Carrie Underwood, you’re one busy girl! Between preparing for your Play On Tour that kicks off Mar. 11 and planning your wedding to your fiance Mike Fisher you’ve found time to audition for movie roles? We just found out that you’ll be starring in an upcoming ‘inspirational film’ called Soul Surfer based on the real life story of Bethany Hamilton, the surfer from Kauai, Hi., who gets attacked by a Tiger shark when she’s 13-years-old and looses her arm. You’ll play a church youth leader — after hearing your hit single Jesus Take The Wheel we’re sure this role is the perfect fit for you. We heard you could act when we learned you were going to be on an episode of How I Met Your Mother set to air in March … but a movie? That’s huge! The film will also star Helen Hunt, Denins Quaid, Lorraine Nicholson (Jack Nicholson‘s daughter) and Kevin Sorbo. — Chloe Melas
