Who would’ve thought John Mayer the Player would steal country cutie Taylor’s heart?
Andrea Swift, you really need to be on red alert right now. Why? Your daughter, Taylor Swift, is dating notorious ladies man John Mayer!
“Taylor and John are absolutely more than ‘just friends’”, a source close to the 20-year-old Grammy winner tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively of her relationship with the 32-year-old crooner. “They aren’t ‘boyfriend and girlfriend’ or anything as provincial as that, but they have taken their friendship to the next level.”
Which would explain why we’ve been seeing these two together so much lately. After dining together in Nashville on Jan. 24, Taylor was caught sneaking into John’s Crossroads performance with Keith Urban on Jan. 26 in Franklin, Tenn.
But hasn’t Taylor been getting cozy with Glee star Cory Monteith lately? She was spotted having dinner with the 27-year-old in LA Jan. 29 and hung out with him at Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party on Jan. 30. Says a second source, “Cory is just a decoy. She isn’t really dating him. They’re friends.” A rep for the country singer had no comment about HollywoodLife.com’s report.
Although Taylor IS dating John, it’s going to be difficult for the two to actually get it together! Taylor is currently on tour in Australia (she left right after the Grammy Awards on Jan. 31) where she’ll be until Feb. 12 – even missing the LA premiere of her ensemble romantic comedy Valetine’s Day on Feb. 8 – before heading back to the States for a gig in Tampa, Fla. on March 4. John is on tour for the next three months as well, which will probably be problematic for their fledgling relationship. And although John is playing in Toronto, Canada on Feb. 14 – Valentine’s Day – Taylor has off! If the two don’t get it together then, they ARE both playing in Texas around the same time; he’s in Dallas on March 9 and she’s in Austin March 19. Hmmmmm…..
But back to Mama Swift. We’ll let you in on a little secret: if you hear your daughter humming Your Body is A Wonderland around the house any time soon, you – and she – are in some serious kind of trouble.

Why anyone would go out with John Mayer is beyond me, He only goes out with people that can get his picture out there for free publicity to maintain his not so very talented musical career. He’s also adding to his list of potential piece of “a” he’s made… I realize it’s probably difficult for famous people to date without getting into the news, but he’s only famous/got his break because of his grandfather.
