Katy Perry looked gorgeously glam, bindi and all on the Grammys red carpet!
Katy Perry just came back from a whirlwind trip to India. Besides bringing back a brand new fiancé in Russell Brand, she also brought home some bindis which she and celebrity makeup artist Jake Bailey used as their inspiration for her gorgeous Grammys look. “I’m excited 4 today,” Katy tweeted. “Beauty is gonna be on point! Today I’m channeling Indian Betty Paige princess!” To get her exotic vibe, Jake used a combination of shimmery purple and gold shadows. “I was going for a more colorful version of the traditional smoky eye,” Jake says.
Here’s how Jake got Katy’s look!
- To perfect her skin, Jake used foundation and matte powder all over her face. Then he highlighted the apples of Katy’s cheeks with Benefit CORALista blush.
- Jake used Cover Girl, Smoky Shadow Blast in Purple Plume by first applying the angled end of the shadow stick, the deeper plum, over the entire lid and blending into a smoky halo. He then applied Cover Girl Smoky ShadowBlast in Bronze Fire, using the round, golden end to line along the lid and inner corners of her eyes to brighten the look.
- Jake finished Katy’s eyes with several coats of Cover Girl LashBlast Length in black. “The best thing about this mascara is that you can apply coat after coat to get maximum impact without losing separation and elegance,” Jake says.
- Jake completed Katy’s look with a matte lip, using Cover Girl Outlast Lipstain in Wild Berry Wink. “I love these Lipstains so much because you can line and shape the entire lip without sacrificing your own lip texture,” Jake says. - Marta Topran
