Issac Mizrahi designed the First Lady’s dress & says she looked “exquisitely beautiful” during Barack Obama’s State Of The Union!
Michelle Obama, you made fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi so happy! Looking gorgeous during Barack Obama‘s first State of the Union Address on Jan. 27., the first lady wore a long-sleeved, waist-cut dress, designed by the famous fashionisto.
Isaac even made a video blog about the dress, where he says, “It was the State Of The Union ‘A-Dress!’ It was the right dress at the right moment. That’s what fashion is all about!”
Isaac also points out that Michelle’s dress was purple: “which is a blend of red and blue. It’s not left not right it was kind of like a bipartisan dress.”
This isn’t the first time the First lady has worn Isaac’s creations. She wore his orange brocade shift on Nov. 24 to meet the wife of India’s Prime Minister, and wore a purple coat of his in May. Isaac has previously called her “the Carrie Bradshaw of the next 10 years.”

She always looks so big in her clothes – I don’t like what they put on her.
