Can you believe that Rihanna’s infamous altercation with Chris Brown was nearly a year ago – or that she still feels ashamed about it?

Even though you’d think that Rihanna would be standing triumphantly onstage come Grammy time on Sunday, Jan. 31, but she’s sorry to inform you that her year of successes in the wake of getting beaten by then boyfriend Chris Brown still doesn’t feel like a coup.

After shooting down rumors that she would be taking the Staples Center stage by storm on Carson Daly’s radio show Jan 27, the songbird confessed, “We [Chris and I] messed their show up pretty bad last year. They might be a little mad at me.”

Yup, Rihanna is pretty confident that Grammy organizers are still miffed about the little you-know-what the overshadowed the entire 2009 Grammy ceremony. And even though she did confirm that she’s attending this year, she won’t be singing her hit, Run This Town – nominated for Best Rap Song – with Jay-Z and Kanye West.

RiRi, make no mistake, if the producers are even still harboring resentment about the snafu, I’m pretty sure its not you they are upset with! Ahem – cough – Chris Brown – cough.

(P.S. We can’t WAIT to see what you’re going to wear! This is THE big comeback of all comebacks, girl! Make it fabulous –and please, don’t let any fishnets or fur get involved. Thanks!)
