Well, that didn’t last long…after dating LA Dodgers player Matt Kemp for just under a month, Rihanna is saying she’s a single girl again!

“I’m still single if that’s what you really want to ask,” the 21-year-old songbird said on the Los Angeles-based radio show, Valentine in The Morning on Jan. 28. So who’s her Grammy date this year? Herself!

“I always have [gone alone] even if when I was in a relationship,” she added.

But what provoked the quick split? This sudden distance between Ri and Matt, 25, wouldn’t have anything to do with the recent revelation that the player once plead guilty to assault charges, would it?

We’re guessing Rihanna wants no more drama in her life after last year’s Grammy Awards, when then-boyfriend assaulted her en route to the 2009 ceremony.

Either way, Rihanna will always have the memories of her brief, hot month with Matt. The two jet-setted everywhere from Dubai for New Years to New York City to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. When DJ Valentine mentioned the shots of the two canoodling at their Mexican hotel, Rihanna simply laughed and said, “Yea, that was a blast.”

Rihanna, if this really is the end of the road for you and Matt, at least you’ll always have Mexico!
