Claire Danes looked perfectly polished and not overdone at her big movie premiere.
I absolutely loved Claire Danes’ glowing look at the NYC premiere of her new HBO film Temple Grandin on Jan. 26. It’s not usual to see a starlet so fresh-faced on the red carpet and it really paid off for Claire. “Claire was wearing a very form fitting, sexy Dolce and Gabbana dress and I just didn’t want to make her up with the usual staple make up that goes with a Dolce black dress – dark smokey eyes,” explains celebrity makeup artist Matin. “I wanted her to look fresh, sexy and smart – almost underdone. So, I chose a monochromatic palette of warm browns,” Matin says.
Here’s how Matin got Claire’s look!
- “I used Neutrogena Nourishing Eye Quad in Tea Biscuit and used the colors from dark to light as I worked the colors from lashes to brows,” Matin says.
- “On her cheeks I used Make Up For Ever Flash Color in Fuchsia. I sheered it out on the back of my hand and then applied it very sheer on the apple of her cheeks,” he says.
- For her lips, Matin used a gorgeous plumy, sheer brown lipstick from Mac in 5N. - Marta Topran
