Ellen calls Simon a Prima Donna! Are you surprised that this is a marriage made in hell already?

Here’s what happened yesterday Jan. 25 ,on Ellen DeGeneres’ first day of taping the ninth season of “American Idol” as the new Paula Abdul replacement judge : Simon Cowell dissed her by NOT SHOWING UP…for 90 minutes, according to Deadline.com.

The first day experience was so bad for the talk show hostess ,that she actually called her friend, Fox alternative programming chief Mike Darnell and begged him to “hurry up and pick Simon’s replacement.”

Can’t way we blame the hardworking Ellen —  after all, she’s juggling her own intensely-demanding talk show with her new duties at”Idol” .

And on the other hand, Simon’s been King Simon for so long on that show, he’s used to ruling the roost HIS way, and not having to worry about another A+  list Idol judge.

Hmm! How’s the chemistry going to be for one very long season ahead?
