Could Simon Cowell turn Robert Pattinson into an even bigger, hotter star around the world by giving him a record deal?

Little know fact: Robert Pattinson is more than just a tall drink of hot British water — the British Twilight hunk is, as we’ve heard, a great singer, guitarist, and keyboard player, he’s certainly prime meat for a record company and, according to a new report, Simon Cowell will pay anything to get him.

The American Idol judge has reportedly offered R-Patz, 23, a blank check to sign with his record company, Syco Records, but the actor, as of yet, is not biting.

“Robert is reluctant to be turned into a pop star — and takes his music very seriously,” a source tells The Sun. “He is a bit wary of signing up with Cowell who is, of course, associated with X Factor and pop.”

Can you imagine how bat crazy the fans would be at an R-Patz concert? There are no words.
