Have you always lusted after Reese Witherspoon’s golden tresses?
Well, here’s everything your need to know to get her color! Celebrity colorist Lorri Goddard-Clark of the Neil George salon in Beverly Hills got Reese Witherspoon’s hair extra sparkly for her appearance at the Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 17 and shares her tips and tricks for getting and maintaining her gorgeous locks.
- Will Reese’s color look good on you?
“Reese is a natural blonde. We take her into a bit more of a beach baby, creamy blonde. People whose natural color starts at a light brown, dark blonde, medium blonde or light blonde will look the best in this shade. It’s about the natural color you start with and your eye color,” Lorri says.
- How long does it take Reese to get that color?
“Not very long at all. She is naturally blonde, and we do creamy highlights when she wants them. Sometimes she waits months, unless a film or something for work comes up,” she says.
- How can you keep blonde hair bright?
“Stay away from well water, chlorine and styling products. Or, try using a buildup remover once a month and follow with a deep conditioner,” Lorri says.
- How often should you go in for touch ups?
“That truly depends on your natural color and your lifestyle. Staying closer to your natural color gives you much lower maintenance,” she says.
- How can you take care of blonde hair in the winter?
“In the winter try and take a vacation from straightening irons and too much blow drying. Always use a deep conditioner weekly. The cumulative damage from styling wreaks havoc on delicate blondes,” Lorri says. - Marta Topran
