Welcome to 2010, Khloe Kardashian, the year of no more acrylic nails!
Thank you, Khloe Kardashian for listening to our pleas for you to get rid of your 90′s prom nails you were rocking on Jan. 7 in Las Vegas. Just look how cute your short, metallic mani looked on Jan. 19 in LA! It’s a huge improvement on the look and health of your nails. As Orly celebrity manicurist Jenna Hipp told us, “I always recommend that my clients have natural nails as acrylics severely damage the nail beds!” We hope you keep up the good work, Khloe! - Marta Topran

Sorry to break it to you, but she hasn’t “ditched” anything. Those are simply shortened gel overlays. Not all acrylics are a horrible or obvious thing, and plenty of celebs have very well done, discreet gels and you’d never know except for the outstanding and unparalleled length in the life of the manicure…and what’s more, a skilled professional who knows what they are really doing (they’re rare and they’re certainly not cheap) will not cause the supposed “severe” damage to the nailbed. So please become thoroughly informed on both sides of the issue before spewing out random inaccuracies based off of the opinion or experience of a manicurist or two who would obviously much rather promote their own preferred method than concede that everyone has their own idea of what looks good or satisfies them.
