Dexter‘s Michael C. Hall has been battling Hodgkin’s lymphoma but he’s getting better!
Michael C. Hall went home with a Golden Globe Award on Jan. 17 for “Best Actor in a TV Drama” for Showtime’s hit series Dexter —and he couldn’t be more deserving! Michael, 38, is being treated for Hodgkin’s lymphoma, an immune system disease. Michael admitted to Popsugar in the Golden Globes pressroom that he never had any intention of anyone knowing he was fighting the disease, “Because the award shows were imminent, I figured I would make a statement. And it’s nice to have a justifiable excuse for accessorizing.” We’re glad to see you that you have such an upbeat attitude!
The actor showed up to the 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards with his wife Jennifer Carpenter, and as PopSugar reports, he confesses that his battle with Hodgkin’s has only made him more humble. “I’ve never been less susceptible to getting swept up in a night like this considering the more down in the trenches kind of stuff I’ve been considering with the treatment,” he said. “But, it’s really been nice. It’s really nice to see colleagues who know about it.”
Congrats on the win and we hope you stay on the road to recovery!
