Who knew that Gisele was even more charitable than the celebrity humanitarians of the century?

Gisele Bundchen, we tip our hats off to you! Not only did you generously empty your bank account (OK, OK so a few million probably didn’t make a dent, but we appreciate the sentiment), but you even managed to best Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in the donation department. Trust us, that’s no easy feat.

The Brazilian supermodel, 29, has written a $1.5 million check to the Red Cross to help with the Haitian relief effort after the country was hit by a 7.0 earthquake Jan 12. Gisele was reportedly inspired after seeing images of the devastated nation on TV, Boston Globe reports.

Props to Gisele for not just tweeting about the national disaster or asking people to help, but rather actually taking action! We have to ask though — why didn’t Gisele’s hot hubby, Tom Brady, donate his moolah for a good cause, too?
