Life Unexpected is THE “new heartwarming family drama”
Alright everyone — get out your Kleenex and brace yourselves for what I believe to be the biggest hit series of 2010! The CW’s Life Unexpected premieres Jan. 19 and it’s what critics are calling, “Juno meets Gilmore Girls.” To sum it up without giving away too much — it’s about a 16-year-old girl named Lux, who is growing up in Portland, Oregon’s foster care system. Lux is sick of bouncing around between foster homes so when she turns 16 she attempts to become legally emancipated (basically becoming an adult 2 years early).
She leaves her foster parent ironically named Mrs. Foster and begins the quest for her biological parents. Once she finds her dad Nate ‘Baze’ Bazile, a 30 something frat boy and Cate Cassidy his former fling and now radio star — the two are completely shocked and not prepared to raise a teen girl! I mean who girl doesn’t love a rekindled romance?! The show chronicles Lux’s journey, and is bound to captivate viewers with its hit home type of plot.
