Project Runway fever is in full force! Not only has Fashion Avenue been temporarily named Project Runway Avenue, but the new season starts tomorrow night!

Our Runway faves Tin Gunn, Michael Kors, Nina Garcia, and top contestants from last year Irina Shabayeva, Althea Harper, and Carol Hannah Whitfeld were among the crowd that turned up at the unveiling of the newly named Project Runway Avenue this morning, Jan. 13, in NYC. After a season in LA, Project Runway is back in NYC and we can’t wait for the new season to air!! got to catch up with Runway alum and designer Malan Breton, who dished on what’s “in” and “out” in his book this season. Since his Runway stint, Malon has been busy showing his line independently at New York Fashion Week, and he dished on what we could expect from his latest collection, and you can forget boyfriend jeans! “It’s a Bollywood theme!” he says, “When I first launched my line it was all about burlesque and lingerie.”

So, what’s “out” in Malon’s book? “I dislike the shapes in women’s wear that take away from the woman’s body, I think things are just too baggy,” he says, “I think people need to feel confident in who they are not like they are putting on a sack.” We couldn’t agree more, Malan!
