Is it Already Over For Jessica Simpson and Billy Corgan?

Jess, are you ringing in the new year as a single girl again or are you and Billy still making beautiful music together?

It can’t be true. Jessica Simpson simply cannot be a swinging singleton again.

Did Billy Corgan dump the 29-year-old pop star after just six dates because she, well, bored him? So says US Weekly, who claims that the rocker, 42, gave Jess the boot – and that their thirteen-year age difference wasn’t the only complication in their short-lived relationship.

There are other, less obvious (and some would say, relatively unimportant in the grand scheme of things) differences which may have contributed to the alleged split. “I like classic movies and she likes reality TV,’ the magazine says Billy reportedly told a pal, before adding the REAL reason he and Jess didn’t work. “I just got bored,” he confessed. “I like talking about philosophy, the meaning of life and deeper issues, and she has nothing to say.”

Ouch. Whether or not the report is true (Jess’ rep didn’t respond to calls for comment), she and Billy ARE still working together musically, if her recent over-enthusiastic Twitter posts are any indication.

“He braids my prayers,” she gushed, while gazing at the Smashing Pumpkins frontman in awe as he strummed a guitar.

Er, yeah. Jess also saved some love for ex-boyfriend Tony Romo, who oh-so-kindly dumped her on her 29th birthday in 2009. “I have always believed in the ‘BOYS!!! ALWAYS!” she tweeted about the Dallas Cowboys quarterback’s recent wins, while posting a photo of herself wearing a team jersey.

Hey, Jess….apparently you were a bad luck charm for the Cowboys when you dated Tony. Maybe that jersey has a similar affect on YOU. Get rid of it, and maybe your luck in love will change!
