Lots of talent out of Boston last night! Here’s who we’ll be keeping an eye on for the rest of the season.

Are you already experiencing “American Idol” fever? We are, and we were glued to the TV for last night’s big two-hour season premiere! While there were plenty of ridiculous characters (seriously, what was up with the guy who performed “Womanizer?”) there were also some genuinely talented performers. Here are the three hopefuls from last night’s episode that are getting our pink stars of approval:

Tyler Grady

Tyler, who sang Marvin Gaye‘s “Let’s Get It On,” seemed talented, but cute and kind of awkward. He’s natural, not produced — and I find that appealing. I think a lot of girls are going to like him.

Ashley Rodriguez

Ashley belted out a smokey rendition of Alicia Keys‘ “If I Had You,” and she totally nailed it. I think she’s going to make it far, because she’s really hot and she’s a really good singer.

Luke Shaffer

I’m always really interested in the songs people choose for their auditions — and I think Secondhand Serenade‘s “Fall For You” was a perfect choice for Luke. He somehow managed to suck all the emo right out of it and it’s no surprise the judges put him through to Hollywood.
