Ben, clearly you need to start watching Gossip Girl … and fast!
Has Ben Affleck been living under a rock? You’d think so, given that he had no idea who Blake Lively when she was right in front of his face.
Although the 22-year-old Gossip Girl starlet eventually scored a role playing the foil to his FBI agent in his new crime drama, The Town, Ben, 37, thought Blake was just another pretty face when she auditioned.
“This girl came in, and no one had said to me beforehand, ‘Hey, look for this person.’ And obviously she was really attractive, and so I thought, Oh, here comes some blond girl,” Ben recalls to Esquire, which features Blake on its February 2010 cover. “She came in, did one reading, and just crushed it.”
How so? Turns out she shed her Manhattan elite persona off of her and adopted one heck of a Boston accent. “Really good,” says Ben (the Boston native should know). “I was sort of stunned. I said, ‘Jeez, you know, that was really f—king good. Who are you?’ She didn’t mention that she was on a television show.”
Tsk, tsk, Ben. Blake shouldn’t have had to tell you who she was. All you have to do these days is turn on a TV or open a magazine and you’re pretty much guaranteed to run into a photo of the leggy blond.
Now, about that rock … maybe it’s time to crawl out from under? Just a suggestion, but we guarantee you’ll like the look of daylight — especially when it looks as good as Blake!

She’s better as a blonde. She’s the type of girl that has perfect hair and should never change it. She should take notes from Jennifer Aniston. I doubt she’d be where she is today if it wasn’t for her hair. I know that sounds crappy but it’s the truth and the only reason I google her.
