Don’t you want to feel like the belle of the ball on your birthday?

Your birthday is the one day all year that is all about you. You have the right to say, do, wear – and even cry – if you want to.

Naturally, Nina Dobrev is no exception. The dolled up and decked out Vampire Diaries starlet celebrated turning the big 2-1 on Jan. 9 with nothing less than a tiara and a pink feather boa; an Armani Exchange frock rounded out the princess ensemble nicely.

The actress had her first legal drink – champagne – in the outdoor Arbor of Asia de Cuba at L.A.’s Mondrian Hotel with a posse of pals from the CW network, including Diaries’ co-stars Ian Somerhalder and Kayla Ewell, 90210’s Matt Lanter and Ben Hollingsworth, of Mischa Barton’s short-lived fashion show, The Beautiful Life.

After chowing down on crab croquetas, lobster pad Thai and tuna pica, the giddy birthday girl was serenaded by her crew with a rousing rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ while a huge chocolate cake was wheeled out.

Just a guess, but we’re willing to bet that – although she stars on a show about the undead – Nina was VERY happy to be among the living on her birthday (and hopefully still feeling that way the next day, despite the inevitable unhappy 21-year-old hangover!)
