We’re impressed, Carrie – how did you find time to plan your wedding to Mike Fisher in under a month?
Carrie Underwood, 26, is a woman with a goal. Although she and Ottawa Senators hockey player Mike Fisher, 29, only got engaged in early December, she’s already planning her trip down the aisle.
“I think we both want a small wedding, but I don’t think that’s going to happen,” the country cutie confided to reporters at the People’s Choice Awards Jan. 6 in L.A. “There are so many people! He’s got a huge family and they’re really close. I have a huge family but we’re not that tight-knit. I’ve got my little group and he’s got three times as much. We want a small wedding, but it’s probably going to be medium-sized, like 200 people.”
But what about the dress? “I don’t [have it picked out yet],” Carrie confessed. “I’ll go with someone I’ve worked with before that I know I work well with. I want it to be pretty traditional, but I also want a few things on it. I think I want – I know this is weird – but I think I want flowers on it! Not real flowers though.”
She added of her preparation process, “I’ve gotten magazines. I started tearing out pictures and such. I even got a folder and I’ve cut out pictures and glued pictures in. I’m getting organized. I feel like I’m on my way.”
At least one thing is already taken care of: her meteor-sized engagement bling. “It’s [Beverly Hills based jeweler] Johnathon Arndt,” the bubbly blond confides. “I’ve worked with him on zillions of things. I love him to death. Mike knew by all my little boxes in my room [that I love Jonathon’s jewelry] so he somehow managed to call him up and sneak around and make me a ring!”
We must point out Carrie, it’s only natural that Mike would choose such a perfect ring…he IS pretty awesome when it comes to ice, after all.
