Have you ever dealt with the difficulties of planning a wedding when the bride and groom want two totally different things?
Carrie Underwood, 26, has only been engaged for one month to her hockey player fiance Mike Fisher, 29 — and she’s already complaining about her engagement!
Carrie confessed, “I think we both really want a small wedding but I don’t think that’s going to happen.” The problem? Mike has a huge family, who he’s super close with, but when it comes to her fam, it’s a different story. “He’s got a huge family and they’re really close,” she admitted to HollywoodLife.com at the Jan. 6 People’s Choice Awards. “I have a huge family but we’re not that tight-knit. I’ve got my little group and he’s got three times as much.”
Another issue for the newly engaged duo, is that they haven’t even set a date yet! “Our schedules don’t provide us too much time to get married and have time to really enjoy being married,” she confessed Jan. 2 on Steve Warne’s radio show, The Grecosize in Ottawa, Canada. “We’re trying to really work it out and move some stuff around.”
But there’s one thing the bride to be is sure of — the dress! “I want [my dress] to be pretty traditional — but I think I want flowers on it! Not real flowers though,” she says. “I’m getting organized. I feel like I’m on my way.” We wish you luck, Carrie!
