Are you ready to see the first awkward celebrity run-in of 2010? If so, then tune in to the People’s Choice Awards on Jan. 6

Oh, the drama! It’s less than a week into 2010, and already we’re about to see one seriously upsetting run-in. Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner are about to have the teen version of Jennifer Aniston’s Oscar night 2009 run-in with Brangelina.

America’s former favorite couple will both attend the People’s Choice Awards in LA on Jan 6.—just one week after their breakup.

Upsetting much? Sure, the two—who met on the set of their upcoming flick, Valentine’s Day—still say they’re buddy buddy after their three-month romance went kaput, but there’s no way this situation is ideal—especially with the world watching their every move.

Luckily, both Taylor S. and Taylor L. are nominated for three awards each [Taylor S. – Pop Artist, Country Artist, Female Artist and Taylor L. – Breakout Movie Actor, Favorite Movie, On-Screen Team] so at least they’re still popular! Look at it this way: when the homecoming king and queen split up on the last day of senior year, at least they know they’re going to be successful, that the world is their oyster, that they’ll move on. They were crowned once, after all, and they can do it again.

Hopefully Taylor 2.0 will do just that…it’s so much easier to hold your head up high in front of your ex when you’re also holding a trophy!

Have you ever run into your ex before you were ready? How did you handle it?
