Will you be tuning in Jan. 5 to watch couples fight the battle of the bulge?
It seems like we just watched Danny Cahill become The Biggest Loser after losing 239 pounds, but it’s already time to be inspired by another group of heavyweights.
Season nine of the hit NBC reality show is all about pairs, as the heaviest couples the show has ever seen compete to lose it all on Tuesday, Jan. 9.
30-year-old Michael Ventrella—a deejay from Chicago, Ill.—is literally the show’s biggest contestant ever, topping the scales at more than 520 pounds; he’ll be competing with his 51-year-old mom, Maria.
Also, looking to drop significant poundage are Orlando-based brothers James and John Crutchfield, 30, who call themselves “the half-ton twins” because they weigh nearly 500 pounds each.
In typical Biggest Loser fashion, the preview gave us chills watching these people re-build their lives and got us all choked up. If you haven’t ever watched it, give it a try, especially if you need inspiration to drop those extra holiday pounds!
