Have A New Year's Resolution To Work Out, But Can't Get Motivated? Try These Tips From NYC Spin Studio SoulCycle!

And while everyone intends to make exercise a part of their New Year’s resolution, it’s so hard to stay motivated! That’s why spoke exclusively to the staff at SoulCycle ( and got some great tips on how YOU can stick with your 2010 work-out resolution!

Shop for your dream wardrobe. Troll internet sites for clothes you would “love” to wear or wish you could look great in! Fill up your virtual shopping cart, set a date to lose the weight, and when you accomplish your goal, hit “buy!”

Make new playlists weekly. Invest $15 a week on singles from iTunes.  It will ensure you have always fresh music to keep you going.

Work out with a friend! Make a bi-weekly exercise date with a pal. Catching up on a power walk in the park can be just as much fun — and much healthier — than grabbing a cocktail.

Try group fitness. Joining a class (like yoga or spinning) adds the power of the pack.  Not only is motivating to watch someone finally hit that pose, the group energy will inevitably push you to work harder.

Pick Three. Find three different exercises you love to do. Each morning, give yourself the option to chose what you feel like doing that day.

Start each day prepared. By stuffing a few healthy snacks in your bag each morning, you can reach for them in moments of hunger.  Eating well is the best way to stay healthy and energized for your work-out! —Corynne Steindler
