Eminem admitted to popping painkillers & sleeping pills.

Eminem, we’re sorry to learn that you’re currently battling a serious drug addiction — but we’re happy to hear you’re getting help in your fight! In a recent BBC Radio interview, Sir Elton John revealed he is standing by your side during this difficult time. “I’ve been helping Eminem over the last 18 months,” Elton said, “and he’s doing brilliantly.”

Eminem came clean about his drug addiction during a Vibe magazine interview from 2009. “If I was to give you a number of Vicodin I would actually take in a day? Anywhere between 10 to 20,” he told the mag. “Valium, Ambien, the numbers got so high I don’t even know what I was taking.”

And Em, you’re not the first celeb that Elton has taken under his wing. According to New York’s Daily News, he also counseled Michael Jackson at one point in his life.

“I’m there if people want my help,” Elton told BBC Radio. “If people ask for help you tell them where to go but there’s no point advising people if they don’t want to do it.”

Elton and Eminem’s friendship began in 2001 when they shared the stage at the 43rd Annual Grammy Awards in LA and ended their duet with a now-infamous hug, putting to bed the rumors of a homophobia-based feud between the two.
