The tributes for Brittany Murphy keep coming in.
Eric Roberts, Brittany Murphy‘s 2002 costar from Spun, wants you to know how much he enjoyed having the chance to work with the young actress, who suddenly died Dec. 20 at the age of 32.
“She was a terrific young lady and an incredible actress,” Eric tells HollywoodLife.com in an exclusive statement. “It was a genuine pleasure to have worked with such a talented individual.”
Eric not only got the chance to know Brittany on the set of Spun, but the two also recently reunited to work on one of her very last films, The Expendables, due out next spring.
“Her untimely passing is a tremendous loss for Hollywood,” he adds.
Eric’s feelings echo what others have also been saying about Brittany. Matthew Lillard, who co-starred with her in Summer Catch, The Groomsmen, and the upcoming Shrinking Charlotte, told HollywoodLife.com exclusively that “she was effervescent and lit up the world while she was here. [She had] a sweetness and honesty that will be sadly missed. It’s tragic another incredible actor has left us way too early.”
Brittany’s Uptown Girls costar, Dakota Fanning, also spoke out to HollywoodLife.com Dec. 21 describing Brittany as someone who “had such a warm, child-like spirit that drew people to her” while Alyssa Milano tweeted hours after news broke of Brittany’s death that “she was a sweet soul, with a lot of talent and heart.”
