Wouldn’t you feel the same after the death of a loved one?
Simon Monjack has finally broken his silence. During an interview with Access Hollywood, Brittany Murphy’s widower describes the horrifying final moments of his wife’s short life.
“[Her mother] Sharon went into the bathroom because she had been in there a long time,” Simon told “Access” on Dec. 21. “Her mom screamed for me and I ran, then called 911.”
Though the morning started off like any other “regular day,” Simon admitted that Brittany was feeling sick with laryngitis. However, he said that her hectic work schedule was to blame for making her feel so wiped out in the days leading up to her death.
While he’s trying to cope with Brittany’s death, Simon has found comfort in someone who knew his wife quite intimately. “I loved what Ashton [Kutcher] wrote on Twitter,” Simon said of Brittany’s ex, who tweeted “the world lost a little piece of sunshine” on Dec. 20. “I couldn’t have said it better [myself].”
Simon also addresses the rumors that Brittany may have gotten in with the wrong crowd. “She found love. We found love. Brittany didn’t get to where Brittany was with anyone controlling her,” he said dismissively. “Brittany was Brittany.”
