Ouch! President Obama made it clear in an interview with “60 Minutes” that he is NOT happy with members of his security staff.
President Obama was asked about the now-infamous Gatecrashing incident on “60 Minutes” Sunday, and he responded with some stern words.
“These people should not have gotten through the gate,” Obama told reporter Steve Kroft. “A mistake was made at the check point to let them through, and that mistake was not corrected through the process.”
“It was a screw up, and it won’t happen again.”
Virginia couple Tareq and Michaele Salahi crashed the White House state dinner on Nov. 24 honoring the president of India–the pair reportedly did not receive invitations to the event. The Secret Service and the White House Social Secretary’s office have both accepted responsibility for the gaff. And let’s just say, the Salahi’s can be sure they won’t be receiving any future invites to the White House, any time soon!
“I was unhappy with everybody who was involved in the process. Although I chafe at being in the bubble, I also want to make sure my family is safe and that foreign guests of ours are safe.”
Keep Michelle, Malia, and Sasha safe, Barack!
Watch the video below! And also video of SNL’s take on the crashers – which couldn’t have helped the Salahi’s cause with anyone at the White House.
