Jon Gosselin says he’s had to turn down the chance to star in Super Bowl commercials — and he’s blaming his empty pockets on TLC.
After all this time, Jon Gosselin is crying poor! A source close to the OctoDad tells HollywoodLife.com that he’s struggling for cash, and it’s all because TLC — the network that used to air Jon & Kate Plus 8 (emphasis past tense) — is keeping him in the poorhouse with their breach of contract lawsuit in Maryland court.
And his lawyer, Mark Jay Heller concurs: He claims to Hollywoodlife.com that TLC is withholding funds — as much as $175,000 — from the Gosselin family, and alleges again that they illegally used child labor when they put the eight little Gosselin kids in the show. Not only that, says Heller, because Jon can’t work because of the terms of his contract, he’s had to turn other high-paying jobs down — like Super Bowl commercials. “Jon is feeling abused and he feels that TLC has not only exploited his children but are now trying to exploit him,” says Heller. “They are trying to destroy his life and driving a wedge between him and his wife.”
D-Day for the TLC lawsuit is this Thursday, Dec. 10 — there will be a momentous hearing in Montgomery County, Md.
We called TLC — no comment.
