A woman described as “middle-aged” and “blond” — now identified as Tiger’s mother-in-law Barbro Holmberg — who was taken to an Orlando area hospital from Tiger Woods’ house early this morning has been treated and released.
According to reports, a 911 call came into Orange County Fire at 2:36 AM from Tiger’s house, and a “middle-aged blond woman” was transported by ambulance to the the same hospital — Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, Fla. — that Tiger went to after his Thanksgiving night accident. Local reports say a younger blond woman followed the ambulance in an Escalade with tags “similar” to the vehicle Tiger crashed.
Elin Nordegren’s mother Barbro Holmberg is in the US from Sweden visiting her daughter. Until 2006, Holmberg was a prominent Swedish politician who also served as a cabinet minister.
Early reports said the woman taken to the hospital was on “advanced life support” when she was transported, but that she had been released, according to RadarOnline.com.
