Rob keeps his fans – and himself! – in the dark
Poor Robert Pattinson! The Twilight Saga: New Moon actor is in such high demand these days that he can barely do anything in private anymore. But the hunky Brit decided to venture out in public anyway (kind of) so that he could attend pal Bobby Long ‘s gig with Jer Coons at The Mint in LA on Dec. 4.
According to an insider, our beloved R-Patz was sitting completely in the dark “all vampire-like” in The Mint’s green room so that he could see both Bobby (whom he lend a brand-new Fender guitar for the show) and the fans – but they couldn’t see him!
“It was surreal,” says our spy. “Rob was sitting in pitch blackness drinking Heinekens and peering out at the stage. He seemed really relaxed though and quite content to just chill out.”
The only moment of high stress during the night came when someone tried to flip the switch on in the green room.
“Rob’s management freaked out!” says our source. “Rob would have been lit up for all of the fans to see. There would have been mass pandemonium.”
Luckily for Robert – and unluckily for all you Twi-hards — the crisis was averted and Rob was undiscovered. Things went so smoothly for the sexy onscreen vamp that he even ventured out the next night, Dec. 5, as well to attend the show of another hometown pal — musician Marcus Foster — at LA’s Hotel Café.
Please don’t keep us in the dark, Rob – we want to see you!
