Olivia Wilde is ready to pass her torch as Maxim’s Hottest Female on to…Lady Gaga?

Lady Gaga is many things (quirky, weird, cool, flamboyant) but the word sexy usually doesn’t come to mind. But according to Maxim’s 2009 Hottest Chick Olivia, she’s gaga for Gaga!

“I think Lady Gaga is pretty beautiful,” Olivia, who’s not so hard on the eyes herself, dished to HollywoodLife exclusively at the Activist Awards in Hollywood Dec. 5.

“I saw her Ellen interview and she was cool. She was talking about how she wants to be a freak so people feel comfortable being freaks and I think that’s really cool.”

Always the well-spoken lady (she’s actually a real-life princess!) we were a tad surprised to know Olivia considers herself a freak. “I think Lady Gaga is cool because I think it’s important that young people feel inspired to explore their inner freaks.”

We have to agree that Lady Gaga is inventive and inspiring, but does that make her Maxim material? What do you think?
