Wouldn’t you love to see him in costume?
Taylor Lautner is shedding his werewolf fur in favor of a sleek super suit! Paramount Studios has hired Taylor to play comic book hero Max Steel in an upcoming movie, Deadline.com is reporting.
The studio hopes to turn Max Steel into the next big action franchise (they’re already talking sequels) and Taylor is just the star who can make it happen.
Taylor will be playing Josh McGrath, a 19-year-old extreme sports star who is adopted by his father’s best friend, who just happens to work for a top secret counter-intelligence agency called N-Tek. During a break-in at the facility, Josh is injured and exposed to harmful materials — and the only way to save his life is to pump him full of a substance known as “t-juice,” which the agency uses to power machines. Thus Josh gets super powers and becomes Max Steel.
Of course, Taylor isn’t the only Twilight hunk with super hero aspirations. We spoke to Kellan Lutz at the NYC premiere of New Moon and he told us he’s got his fingers crossed to play Captain America! “I’d love to play that,” he told us. “He’s an American hero!”
