Now we know: Idols remain BFFs even after the blazing camera lights turn off.
Former American Idol contestants Blake Lewis and Anoop Desai have — like all good friends do — leapt to Glambert’s defense.
“Adam Lambert isn’t too controversial,” Season Six runner-up Blake tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively, about the ABC decision to cut Adam from performing on Good Morning America Nov. 25. “Good Morning America could have had an amazing interview with a talented, humble entertainer and shot him down. Their loss.”
Anoop — a Season 8 finalist — agrees. “Adam is going to be huge, there’s no doubt about that. And his fans will keep him on top, not GMA,” he said during a live chat on American Idol Now.
Anoop has something else to tell GMA — Adam’s performance was awesome. “It’s not for everyone,” he acknowledges, “But Adam knows exactly who he is and what he’s trying to do. I think the performance was successful. I mean, we’re talking about it today, aren’t we? He’s there “for your entertainment”; that was the point of the performance and it was definitely entertaining.”
